Day two of the 2024 Nike EYBL Scholastic Sunshine Classic presented by Fountain Auto Group was another day of high level basketball. Montverde Academy and Brewster Academy, who coincidentally play each other next Sunday at the NBA Cup in Las Vegas, Nevada, both exit the tournament with 2-0 records after picking up wins on day two.
Game 3: Brewster Academy 65 Orangeville Academy 46
The first game on day two saw Brewster Academy beat Orangeville Academy 65-46 on Saturday afternoon.
Sebastian Wilkins had a game-high 22 points and five rebounds, while Ebuka Okorie had 15 points, six assists and four steals.
Orangeville Academy was led by Lukas Jendrusiak with 11 points and five rebounds.
Game 4: Montverde Academy 65 Long Island Lutheran 59
In a back-and-forth game that saw eight lead changes and four ties and neither team led by more than seven points, Montverde Academy pulled away late and earned a 65-59 win over Long Island Lutheran.
CJ Ingram, for the second night in a row, posted a double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds.
Dante Allen had a team-high 17 points, while Kayden Allen added 14 points, six rebounds and a team-high four steals.
Nigel James led Long Island Lutheran with 17 points and five assists, while MJ Madison had a team-high 10 rebounds for the Crusaders.
