The Montverde Academy boys lacrosse team is standing with confidence, earning a 10-5 record through 15 games this spring.
Although the Eagles were eliminated from the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) district tournament after a 9-5 loss to Bishop Moore in the semifinals, the Eagles are still eligible to play in the FHSAA regionals which start on Wednesday April 24th. The Eagles will find out on Friday at 2:00 pm when the FHSAA releases the regional bracket.
Given the Eagles' success this season and their high regional ranking in 2024, MVA anticipates a spot in the regional, leaving its chances of a state championship alive.
Montverde Academy has many players who have performed tremendously for the team. Some players who have stood out in 2024 include Mason Eldridge averaging 2.1 goals per game, Drew Glass averaging 1.5 assists per game and Zander Brasher who has tallied a team-high 101 ground balls this season.
