Montverde Academy's baseball team took the loss 4-3 against the Coral Springs Charter Panthers on May 8th in Coral Springs in the quarterfinal round of the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) regionals. 

The Eagles and the Panthers were head to head up until the 7th inning. They were tied 2-2 then Montverde Academy scored 1 run to take a 3-2 lead. 

Then the Panthers scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th to take the 4-3 win. 

Senior Anthony Picciano went 2 for 4 with a double, a triple, and 2 runs batted in. Tank Chavous went  1 for 2 with a double. 

Christian Borbely pitched 6.2 innings and allowed 4 runs on 7 hits and struck out 7. 

With the loss Montverde Academy's season came to an end. The Eagles finished their season with a 14-10 record.
