In a match against two local schools, the Montverde Academy boys basketball team defeated neighbor WIndermere Prep 81-41 on the opening night of the 2025 Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament (MAIT) on campus Thursday evening.

Dante Allen led the way with 18 points, while going a perfect 6-for-6 from the floor, including 5-for-5 from the three point line. He also had six assists in the win.

Trent Sisley scored 13 points and was also perfect from the field, shooting 5-for-5 from the floor. Hudson Greer added 12 points in the win.

The Eagles led from start to finish, opening the game on a 16-4 run, and the Eagles were up 22-7 after the first quarter and 41-19 by halftime

The Eagles shot a season-high 64 percent from the floor (30-for-47), and held an overwhelming 32-4 advantage on points off turnovers.

Winderemere Prep was led by Bradnon Bass, Jr. with 16 points.
