The Montverde Academy boys basketball team fought hard but fell 83–75 to Dream City Christian Academy on day two of the 2025 Nike EYBL Scholastic Sunshine Classic presented by Fountain Auto Mall.

The Eagles jumped out to an early 20–14 lead after the first quarter, maintaining a tight contest through three quarters with the game tied heading into the fourth. Dream City Christian opened the final period with a 13–3 run, ultimately pulling away for the win.

Dhani Miller led MVA with 17 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and four steals, delivering a complete all-around performance. Jayden Hodge also scored 17 points while adding seven rebounds. Joe Philon III chipped in 11 points and six rebounds, with Lincoln Cosby and Oneal Delancy adding nine points each.

The Eagles return to the court on Friday December 12 at 7:30 pm for a game against CATS Academy in day one of the Bojangles Bash in Columbia, South Carolina.
