Day Two of the Nike EYBL Sunshine Classic Delivers Exciting Basketball

MONTVERDE, Fla. — Day two of the 2025 Nike EYBL Scholastic Sunshine Classic presented by Fountain Auto Mall delivered another pair of high-level boys basketball games as several of the nation's best battled for in hotly contested games.


Wasatch Academy 66, Tennessee Collegiate Academy 49

Wasatch Academy opened the evening with a convincing 66–49 victory over Tennessee Collegiate Academy behind a balanced offensive performance that saw all five starters score in double figuresm for Wasatch Academy.

Vuk Lazarevic led the Tigers with a game-high 17 points, while Adolph County followed with 14. Chidi Nwigwe, Katrelle Harmon and Mariano Manciel each added 11 points in the win. Manciel pulled down a game-high nine rebounds, while Nwigwe dished out six assists to help lead the offense.

Tennessee Collegiate was paced by Keeper Jackson, who came off the bench to score a team-high 12 points. Josiah Sanders contributed eight points, while Nate Miles grabbed a team-best six rebounds for the Spartans.


Dream City Christian Academy 83, Montverde Academy 75

The second game of the day featured a marquee matchup as Dream City Christian Academy pulled away late for an 83–75 victory over host Montverde Academy.

Jordan Malachi delivered a standout performance for Dream City Christian, scoring a game-high 30 points on 12-of-18 shooting. Ikenna Alozie followed with 21 points on 8-of-15 shooting, while also recording six rebounds and six assists. Keaundre Morris added 11 points, and Chris Brown grabbed a game-high nine rebounds for Dream City Christian.

Dhani Miller and Jayden Hodge led Montverde Academy with 17 points and seven rebounds each. Miller also added seven assists and four steals. Joe Philon III chipped in 11 points and six rebounds, while Lincoln Cosby and Oneal Delancy scored nine points apiece.

Montverde Academy took an early 20–14 lead at the end of the first quarter, but Dream City Christian responded with a 24–16 second-quarter burst to take a 38–36 halftime lead. The two teams entered the fourth quarter tied before Dream City Christian opened the final period on a decisive 13–3 run to gain control of the game.
