The Montverde Academy baseball team lost 6-2 at Timber Creek High School on Wednesday evening.
MVA scored a run in the top of the first inning to take a 1-0 lead, but the Wolves scored six unanswered. Timber Creek scored three in the bottom of the first and two more in the bottom of the fourth, followed by another in the bottom of the fifth. The Eagles got a run back in the top of the sixth to make the score 6-2.
MVA had seven hits in the contest and was led by Max Irving who went 2-for-4 in the loss with a home run.
Jacob Holley suffered the loss after going 3.0 innings and allowing three runs on one hit. Tyler Severs pitched three innings of relief and allowed three runs (one earned) on four hits with one strikeout.
