The Montverde Academy boys' weightlifting team competed in the Citrus League Championship and placed third of five teams in both disciplines.

MVA earned one individual win as  Christopher Tanis took first place in both disciplines with a score of 500 in the Olympic discipline (225 snatch & 275 clean &jerk) and 540 in the traditional discipline (265 bench & 275 clean & jerk).
