Congratulations to Chris Tanis and Rishi Gandhi, who competed at the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) State Championships on Saturday afternoon at the RP Funding Center in Lakeland, Florida.

Both Eagles competed in the Olympic discipline (snatch and clean & jerk) and performed excellently. 

Tanis tied for third overall in the unlimited weight class lifting a score of 525 (235 lbs in snatch and 290 lbs in clean & jerk).

Gandhi, competing in the 139 pound weight class, did not score, but still earned his elite status as one of the best in the state by qualifying for the meet.
