The Montverde Academy softball team picked up where it left off before Spring Break, by winning. The Eagles earned a 5-2 victory over Baker County at the Softball Complex on Wednesday.
The Eagles are now 8-0 on the season.
MVA scored a run in the bottom of the first inning, followed by another four in the bottom of the third to lead 4-0 after three and the Eagles never trailed in the contest.
Luna Taboas led the way going 3-for-4 which included an inside the park home run. Meanwhile Leila Susaia had a pair of hits and a pair of runs batted in.
Pitcher Nevaeh Williams earned the win in the circle, pitching 7.0 innings, allowing two runs on six hits, while striking out seven.
MVA is back in action on Tuesday evening for a game against Wakulla in Eustis, Florida at 5:00 pm.
