The Montverde Academy baseball team is set to compete in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) district championships this upcoming week.
After finishing the 2025 regular season with a 15-8 record, the Eagles have earned the No. 2 seed and will face No. 3 seed Foundation Academy Tuesday at 6:00 pm at Francisco Lindor Field.
Should the Eagles get past Foundation, they will play for the district championship on Thursday April 17th at 6:00 pm at No. 1 seed The First Academy or home against No. 4 seed Windermere Prep or No. 5 seed Cornerstone Charter.
During this past regular season, MVA hitting was led by Danati Fronduto with a batting average of .467 and five home runs as well as 26 runs batted in. Fronduto also led the Eagles in on base percentage with a .612 clip followed by Michael Alicea with a .571 percentage.Â
The Eagles' pitching has been led by Fronduto with a 1.05 earned run average. Jacob Holley has led MVA with 44 strikeouts while Franduto added 35 of his own.
If the Eagles manage to win the district championship, they will earn an automatic bid into the regional playoffs.
