Luna Taboas collected three hits in four at bats, as Montverde Academy softball defeated The First Academy 13-0 on Tuesday. Taboas singled in the second inning, tripled in the fourth inning, and singled in the first inning.

Montverde Academy jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Addison Poe singled, scoring one run, Elena Friedman was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Bella Brown induced Colby Reish to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Audrey Vivino singled, scoring two runs.

Montverde Academy scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the second inning. Friedman was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, Reish drew a walk, scoring one run, Nevaeh Williams was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Taboas singled, scoring two runs.

Montverde Academy added two runs in the third. The First Academy committed an error, making the score 12-0.

Williams earned the win for Montverde Academy Varsity Eagles. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over two innings, striking out five and walking none. Emerson Gunkel pitched three innings in relief for MVA
