Taboas was named the Orlando Sentinel All Area Player of the Year, while senior Danika Spinogatti and junior Nevaeh Williams were both named to the prestigious All Area team.

After earning a spot on the All-Area team the past two seasons, Taboas earned the All-Area top award this season after turning in a phenomenal season at the plate. Spinogatti, a Florida State University commit, wrapped up her stellar Montverde Academy career with a strong offensive showing. She posted the team's second-highest batting average at .481 (37-for-77), while also ranking second in on-base percentage (.615) and home runs (7). She wrapped up her MVA career as the school's all-time leader in four statistical categories, including runs batted in (116), doubles (34), home runs (15) and walks (91).

Williams anchored the Eagles' pitching staff with a dominant junior campaign. The University of Mississippi commit earned 15 wins and maintained a 0.88 ERA, allowing just 12 earned runs over 95 2/3 innings. She struck out 169 batters while giving up only 47 hits. A commit to the University of Mississippi, Williams is MVA's all-time leader in four statistical categories, including strikeouts (505), wins (46), innings pitched (380) and appearances (74).

Montverde Academy finished its season with a 27-3 overall record and won its district championship for the twelfth consecutive year and advanced into the regional championship round for the third year in a row.
