MONTVERDE, Fla. (September 16, 2025) – Girls golf standout Cynthia Yang has been named the Montverde Academy Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 14, 2025.
Yang turned in a career-best performance on September 10 at Orange County National in Winter Garden, carding a 33 (-3) as the Eagles battled Windermere Prep and Circle Christian. Her steady play proved crucial as the Eagles finished in a rare three-way tie at 143 strokes.
A key member of last year's girls golf team that captured the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) state championship for the first time in program history, Yang continues to be a driving force for the Eagles this season.
Her latest honor recognizes not only her exceptional play on the course, but also her role as a dedicated teammate contributing to the continued success of Montverde Academy golf.
