Montverde, FL (September 19, 2025) –Montverde Academy has officially released the 2025-26 schedules for the girls' varsity and junior varsity soccer teams, highlighted by a challenging slate of highly skilled opponents for both rosters.
The varsity team, coming off a 19-2 record while capturing the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) District Championship, will open its season at Bishop Moore on Thursday, November 6. The Eagles' home opener will be against South Lake High School on Monday, November 10. A key highlight of the schedule includes an early season trip to Mississippi, where MVA will compete in the Mississippi Showcase in Perkinston from November 20-22, facing off against top Mississippi based programs Brandon High School, Northwest Rankin, and Clinton High School.
MVA will also travel to South Florida in December to face Lourdes Academy on Thursday, December 11, defending FHSAA Class 3A state champion Somerset Academy – Canyons on Friday, December 12 and St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, December 13.
The regular season concludes with a marquee matchup at Lake Mary High School on Friday, January 16.
Postseason play begins in late January with the FHSAA District Tournament (dates to be determined). The regional tournament will follow on February 2, 9, and 13, with advancing teams moving on to the FHSAA State Semifinals on Thursday, February 19 and the State Championship Game on Saturday, February 21, both at Lake Myrtle Sports Park in Auburndale.
Meanwhile, the junior varsity team will compete in 12 contests, starting with a game at Bishop Moore on Thursday, November 6 and concluding with a game at Lake Mary on Friday January 16.
