Game 1: IMG Academy over JJ Pearce 14-0 (5 innings)
IMG Academy scored eight runs in the bottom of the first inning to take full control and the Ascenders defeated JJ Pearce 14-0 in a five inning game on day one, game one of the 2026 Montverde Academy Invitational Softball Tournament on Thursday afternoon.
After taking an 8-0 lead, IMG proceeded to score another three in the bottom of the second, followed by another two in the third and one more in the fourth to go ahead 14-0.
IMG Academy pounded out 13 hits. Jolie Gawlik went 2-for-4 with a triple, while Dawson Blue went 2-for-4 with a home run and two runs batted in. Hayden Holloway went 2-for-3 with two doubles, while Raelyn Dubrish was 2-for-2 with a double, three runs and two runs batted in.
Dubrish also helped her cause in the circle, pitching five innings of no-hit softball, walking just one while striking out nine.
Saylor Jackson suffered the loss, tossing one inning and allowing 11 runs (five earned) on nine hits. Lexie Landers pitched four innings of relief and allowed three runs on four hits.

Game 2: Episcopal School over Foundation Academy 5-4
Down 4-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Episcopal School scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh to walk it off as the Eagles defeated the Lions 5-4 in game two of day one of the 2026 MAIST tournament.
Episcopal School officially completed the comeback when Claire Cinnamond hit a sharp groundball single into center field to score the winning run, Amelia Oreair. Earlier in the inning, a one out double by Riley Valent scoring Ashten Wolff for the first run. Then moments later a single by Emily Davidson scored Valent to tie the game.
Valent had a big afternoon overall going 3-for-3 with a double, two runs and a run batted in. When she wasn't raking, she was getting batters out. She pitched 7.0 innings, allowing four runs on hits en route to earning the win.
Foundation Academy was led by Riley Winters who was 2-for-4 with a double, two runs and a run batted in. Fellow teammate Kena Terry also had two hits.
Winters suffered the loss in the circle, going 6.2 innings and allowing five (four earned) runs on nine hits with six strikeouts.

Game 3: Winter Springs over Middleburg 6-3
Winter Springs defeated Middleburg 6-3 in the third game of day one of the MAIST tournament.
Winter Springs was led by Lauren Daughtry who went 2-for-2 with two home runs and three runs batted in. Tiffany Seemann added a home run while going 2-for-3.
Middleburg was led by Emma Ward who had two hits, while Jocelyn Kenirey was 1-for-3 with a double.
Middleburg scored two runs in the top of the first, before Winter Springs answered with two runs in the bottom half.
Middleburg went back on top 3-2 after scoring a run in the top of the second. Winter Springs scored a run in the bottom of the fourth to tie it, and scored again in the bottom of the fifth to jump ahead 4-3.
The Bears scored a pair of insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth. Broncos loaded the bases and threatened in the top of the seventh, before the final out was made.
Seemann earned the win after going 7.0 innings and allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits and nine strikeouts.
Karleigh Sanford suffered the loss after pitching the first 5.2 innings and allowing six runs on nine hits.
Game 4: Montverde Academy over Fort Myers 10-0 (6 innings)
In the final game of the first day of MAIST, Addie Poe was a single shy of hitting for the cycle, going 3-for-4 with a double, triple, and home run with seven runs batted in to lead Montverde Academy to a 10-0 win over Fort Myers High School.
Poe belted a three-run homer in the bottom of the first to give the Eagles a 3-0 lead, and later hit a bases clearing triple while the bags were loaded in the fourth before doubling in a run in the bottom of the sixth.
The Eagles also got a great game from Colby Reish who was 1-for-2 with a double, a walk plus a hit by pitch and scored four times.
Missy Odom added a home run for Montverde Academy.
Adrianna Thorne and Amira Peterson had one hit each for Fort Myers.
Nevaeh Williams pitched 5.0 innings and allowed no runs on two hits, while striking out six, while Odom pitched one shutout inning while striking out three in relief.
Afton Jessogne suffered the loss for the Green Wave after starting the game and allowed three runs (two earned) on one hit. Lolly Lane pitched the majority of the game in relief and allowed seven runs on seven hits and struck out seven in 5.1 innings of relief.
