Montverde Academy delivered an impressive performance at the Florida High School Indoor Championships on Saturday, crowned by four individual state championships and multiple podium finishes against the state's top competition.
On the girls side, Jizelle Holland claimed the state title in the triple jump with a winning leap of 11.58 meters, setting the tone early in the field events. Dasia Reed continued her dominant indoor season by capturing gold in the 200 meters with a time of 23.60 seconds, while also adding a runner-up finish in the 60 meters. Nakira Hudson rounded out the girls champions with a victory in the 400 meters, crossing the line in 55.07 seconds, and later backed it up with a top-10 finish in the 200 meters.
The boys also reached the top of the podium as Samuel Johnson secured the state championship in the triple jump, posting a winning mark of 14.59 meters.
