The Montverde Academy baseball team fell to Lafleche, 11-8, on Wednesday afternoon at the USSSA Complex in Viera, Florida.

The Eagles produced several strong offensive performances despite the loss. Brody Welborn reached base four times, finishing 2-for-2 with two walks, two runs scored, and two runs batted in. Andres Morillo added two hits as well, going 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI.

Miguel Ramos went 2-for-3 at the plate, while Jonathan Valdez and Pablo Borbely each scored twice after finishing 1-for-3 on the afternoon.

On the mound, Sid Goecke took the loss after pitching 3.2 innings. He allowed seven runs, four earned, on four hits.
