Montverde Academy boys lacrosse defeated Horizon High School 18-4 at Dan Newlin Injury Attorney Stadium on Monday for its third consecutive win as the Eagles improve to 6-11 on the season.
MVA wasted no time setting the tone, scoring just six seconds into the game and never looking back. The Eagles erupted for nine goals in the opening quarter to take complete control early, carrying a 9-1 lead into the second. The momentum continued into halftime, with MVA extending its advantage to 13-2.
The Eagles quickly added another goal early in the third quarter to trigger a running clock, cruising through the remainder of the contest to secure the decisive win.
Evan Flanagan delivered a standout all-around performance with five goals, one assist, three ground balls, and eight faceoff wins.

Defensively, Angelo Ranaldi was solid in goal, recording eight saves on 10 shots faced for an impressive .800 save percentage.
Montverde Academy will close out the 2026 regular season on Wednesday at home against Cardinal Mooney. Faceoff is set for 7:00 p.m. at Dan Newlin Injury Attorney Stadium.
