Montverde Academy boys lacrosse came up just short in its 2026 regular season finale, falling 8-7 to Cardinal Mooney on Wednesday evening at home.

 Gavin Ionelli led the way for MVA with a hat trick.

With the loss, Montverde Academy closes out the regular season with a 6-12 record.

The Eagles will now turn their attention to postseason play, as they prepare for the FHSAA District Tournament. MVA is set to open tournament play in the quarterfinal round on Thursday, April 9, with the opponent, time, and location to be announced following the release of the official bracket in the coming days.
