The Montverde Academy boys and girls swimming teams delivered dominant performances Friday evening, sweeping Timber Creek High School at the Montverde Academy Aquatics Center.

The MVA boys earned a 201-75 victory, while the girls defeated the Wolves 205-67. The Eagles also established three pool records during the meet.

Cielo Moya produced a standout performance for the girls, winning the 200-meter individual medley in 2:31.49 before setting a pool record in the 100-meter freestyle with a time of 57.93.

The Eagles opened the meet with a record-setting performance from Stella Belmore, Mariana Bustamante, Layla Busby and Moya in the 200-meter medley relay. The quartet touched the wall in 1:58.53, surpassing the previous pool record of 2:00.85.

Belmore later won the 400-meter freestyle in 4:44.49, while Busby captured the 50-meter freestyle in 27.77. Other individual winners for the MVA girls included Maria Clara Fernandes in the 200-meter freestyle, Alejandra Ordonez in the 100-meter butterfly, Maria Castro in the 100-meter backstroke and Bustamante in the 100-meter breaststroke.

Belmore, Busby, Moya and Kalila Chan narrowly missed a pool record in the 200-meter freestyle relay, finishing in 1:50.51. MVA also claimed the 400-meter freestyle relay to complete a sweep of the girls' events.

Gustavo Fidalgo delivered one of the top performances for the boys, breaking the pool record in the 50-meter freestyle with a winning time of 23.32. He also helped MVA win the 200-meter medley and 200-meter freestyle relays.

Arthur Romero Rabello was a double winner, taking the 200-meter freestyle in 1:57.03 and the 400-meter freestyle in 4:20.98. Heitor Tinoco won the 100-meter freestyle in 52.68, while Caleb Giangreco captured the 100-meter butterfly and Declan McIntire won the 100-meter backstroke.

With Friday's victories, the MVA girls improved to 7-0 in dual-meet competition this season, while the boys moved to 6-1.
