Montverde Academy girls' and boys' swim teams finished first in their second consecutive meets of the season as the Eagles won in dual meets against Berkeley Prep at the Montverde Academy Pool on Saturday to improve both teams to 5-0 on the season.
The Montverde Academy girls' team earned a 150-124 win, while the boys won 192-88
On the girls side, Ivanka Bukele won the 200 meter individual medley (2:33.70) and the 100 meter breaststroke (1:15.95). In addition to that, Stella Belmore won the 100 meter freestyle (1:03.92) and the 100 meter backstroke (1:09.66). Alejandra Ordonez won the 200 meter freestyle (2:08.71), while Layla Busby won the 50 meter freestyle (29.21). The girls also dominated the relays this weekend, winning all three relays.
On the boys side, Cobi Wu won the 100 meter breaststroke (1:05.82) and the 100 meter butterfly (1:00.57). Danilo Brito won the 100 meter freestyle (54.07), and Paolo de Fabrique won the 100 meter backstroke (1:03.66). The boys also won all three relays this weekend.
Montverde Academy is back in action on Wednesday, September 27th and 28th for the Florida Swim Pool Association Invitational in Ocala, Florida.
