Montverde, Fla. (October 3, 2025) – Montverde Academy boys' basketball is set to take on the nation's elite once again, unveiling a 2025-26 boys basketball schedule packed with top-tier competition. The Eagles will face some of the best programs in the country as they aim to continue their legacy of excellence.
This year's schedule features 26 tough regular season games, including 14 games against teams from the prestigious Nike EYBL Scholastic conference teams: Brewster Academy, CATS Academy, Christ School, Dream City Christian, Link Academy, La Lumiere, Long Island Lutheran, Oak Hill Academy, Spire Academy, Sunrise Christian, Tennessee Collegiate Academy, The St. James, Veritas Prep, Wasatch Academy,
The Eagles will play a preseason game on November 17 against Central Pointe Christian Academy before opening regular season play on Friday, November 21, against Southeastern Prep in the Main Event in Miami.
The first regular season home game will also mark the team's first EYBL Scholastic matchup of the season, when the Eagles host Wasatch Academy on opening night of the Sunshine Classic on Friday, December 6. The regular season wraps up on Friday, February 27, with a home game against Tennessee Collegiate Academy, just ahead of the Nike EYBL Scholastic tournament in March.
Beyond conference play, Montverde Academy will compete in major non-conference tournaments, including the City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers on December 19 and 21, the Jordan Holiday Classic in New York City on December 27 and 28, as well as the annual Montverde Academy Invitational Tournament (MAIT) on campus from January 29–31.
The Eagles are coming off a 19-8 record in 2024-25, which included a berth in the Chipotle High School Nationals. Montverde Academy's boys' basketball program has a storied tradition, with eight national championships and a history of producing players who have gone on to compete professionally in the NBA, G League, and leagues worldwide.
