The Montverde Academy girls weightlifting team delivered one of its strongest collective performances of the season on Thursday, finishing 10th out of 21 teams in the Traditional division and an impressive 7th out of 21 in the Olympic division at the highly competitive Buffalo Invitational hosted by The Villages. The Eagles' depth and balance across multiple weight classes helped them stand out in a field dominated by large programs.
Flowers Leads the Way With Olympic Podium Finish
Sophomore Cali Flowers delivered Montverde Academy's strongest outing of the meet, earning an Olympic 3rd-place finish (265 total) and following that with 5th place in the Traditional 199-lb class (280 total).Â
Friedman, Reish, and Joseph Add Important Points
