The Montverde Academy boys and girls cross country teams are set to compete at the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) District Championship on Thursday morning at Sand Hill Scout Reservation in Spring Hill, Florida. The girls race is scheduled for 10:00 a.m., followed by the boys at 10:30 a.m.

The girls team has enjoyed a strong season, earning three top-four finishes in team competition, including a second-place result. Lyla McMillen has been a standout performer, leading the team in every race this season and posting three top-10 finishes individually.

On the boys side, MVA features one of the state's top athletes in Will Moss. Moss, last year's district champion, is seeking his second consecutive title in this race. He has earned four top-10 finishes this season, including a win and two second-place results.

Following districts, the FHSAA Regional Championship will take place on Thursday, November 13, at Holloway Park in Lakeland, with the State Championship scheduled for Saturday, November 22, at Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee.
