Montverde, Fla. (February 10, 2026) – Boys basketball team member Dhani Miller has been named Montverde Academy's Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending February 8, following a pair of outstanding performances that helped lead the team to two marquee wins at the Dr. Pepper Classic in Chattanooga, Tennessee this past weekend.
Miller was at his best on the biggest stage Friday night, recording a double-double of 22 points and a career-high 12 rebounds in the Eagles' 66-52 victory over nationally No. 1-ranked Spire Academy. The performance marked Miller's third double-double of the season and played a pivotal role in one of the Eagles' most impressive wins of the year.
He followed that effort with another strong all-around showing on Saturday, finishing with 15 points and seven assists in an 84-55 win over Boyd-Buchanan. Miller's ability to score, facilitate, and defend throughout the weekend was instrumental in Montverde Academy's perfect run at the event.
On the season, Miller continues to be one of the team's most consistent and impactful players. He leads the team in scoring averaging 15.5 points per game, as well as steals averaging 1.5 per game. He is currently second on the team in rebounds per game with 5.8 and assists per game with 3.9 per game. His versatility and leadership have been key components of Montverde Academy's success throughout the 2025–26 season.
A senior committed to Kent State, Miller has been a part of the Montverde Academy community since pre-kindergarten and has represented the program at the highest level, serving as a member of the boys basketball national team since ninth grade. His journey reflects years of dedication, development, and excellence both on and off the court.
This marks the second time this season Miller has earned Student-Athlete of the Week honors.
Miller and the rest of the Montverde Academy boys basketball team return to action this Saturday in a Nike EYBL showdown against Brewster Academy at the St. James Event in Springfield, Virginia, as the Eagles continue their national slate. Tip off is scheduled for 8:00 pm.
