Montverde, Fla. (June 10, 2026) – Following another successful season on the diamond, four members of the Montverde Academy softball team were recognized among Central Florida's best as seniors Addie Poe '26, Nevaeh Williams '26, Missy Odom '26, and Colby Reish '26 were named to the Orlando Sentinel All-Area Softball Team.
Poe and Williams were selected to the First Team, while Odom and Reish earned Honorable Mentions.
The quartet helped lead MVA to a 19-6 record during the 2026 season and leaves behind one of the most accomplished senior classes in program history.
Poe Caps Record-Breaking Career with First Team Selection
Poe earned First Team honors after another dominant offensive season. The senior batted .329 while leading the Eagles in runs scored (23), home runs (9), triples (3), and runs batted in (32).
Her nine home runs tied the MVA single-season record, a mark she setduring the 2025 season. Poe finishes her two-year MVA career as the program's all-time home run leader with 18 career round trippers.
One of her most memorable performances came during the Montverde Academy Invitational Softball Tournament (MAIST) in February, where she earned Slugger Award honors after batting .667 with a double, triple, three home runs, 13 RBIs, and an impressive 2.727 OPS over the three day tournament.
Poe will continue her softball career at the University of Central Florida (UCF).
Williams Leaves as Greatest Pitcher in Program History
Williams was named to the Orlando Sentinel First Team after anchoring the Eagles pitching staff throughout the season.
The senior posted a 10-5 record with a 1.14 ERA while throwing a team-high 104 innings. She also struck out 154 batters, leading the team in both categories.
Williams' impact on the program extends far beyond a single season. A member of the softball program since eighth grade, she leaves MVA as the school's most decorated pitcher and holds every major career pitching record.
During her remarkable career, Williams made 92 appearances, pitched 497.2 innings, recorded 57 victories, and struck out 659 batters, which are all MVA records. Additionally, her 659 career strikeouts are 402 more than the second-highest total in school history.
She was also the pitcher of record in MVA's victory in the 2024 FHSAA State Championship game.
Williams will continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Mississippi (Ole Miss).
Odom Excels as Two-Sport Star
Odom earned Orlando Sentinel Honorable Mention recognition after establishing herself as one of the area's most versatile athletes.
At the plate, she led the Eagles with a .484 batting average and a team-high 31 hits. She also tied for the team lead with six doubles and finished second on the team with four home runs.
In the circle, Odom posted a team-best 0.46 ERA while striking out 109 batters in 61 innings pitched.
Her athletic success extends beyond softball. Odom has also been a standout member of the Montverde Academy girls basketball team for the past two seasons. During the 2024-25 campaign, she averaged a team-high 21.3 points and 9.1 rebounds per game.
Odom will continue her dual-sport career at Florida State University, where she plans to compete in both softball and basketball.
Reish's Legacy Defined by Longevity and Championship Moments
Reish earned Orlando Sentinel Honorable Mention honors after another productive season, batting .319 with 22 runs scored, three doubles, one home run, and 15 RBIs.
A six-year member of the MVA softball program dating back to seventh grade, Reish leaves as one of the most accomplished and respected players in school history.
Over her career, she compiled a .326 career batting average with 113 hits, 82 RBIs, 24 doubles, and 106 runs scored.
Perhaps her most memorable moment came during the 2024 FHSAA State Championship game when she delivered the game-winning walk-off hit in the bottom of the eighth inning to secure the program's first state championship.
Reish concludes her career as the program's all-time leader in games played with 158 appearances. Throughout her time at MVA, she showcased her versatility by playing second base, shortstop, third base, and the outfield.
She will continue her softball career at Eastern Florida State College.
A Special Senior Class
The recognition of Poe, Williams, Odom, and Reish reflects the impact of a senior class that helped elevate Montverde Academy softball to new heights.
Between record-breaking performances, state championship memories, and years of dedication to the program, the four seniors leave behind a lasting legacy while helping the Eagles post another outstanding season in 2025.
