Montverde, FL (October 22, 2024) – Montverde Academy is proud to announce that Paolo de Fabrique has been named its Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending October 20, 2024.

de Fabrique's outstanding performance was instrumental in leading the Montverde Academy boys' swim team to victory at the 2024 Citrus League Championship on October 17.

He dominated the competition, winning all four races he was entered in. He captured the title in the 200-yard individual medley with a remarkable time of 1:57.97 and followed up with a victory in the 100-yard backstroke, finishing in 55.56 seconds.

In addition to his individual achievements, de Fabrique contributed to the team's success in two relay events. He was a member of the 200-yard medley relay team, alongside teammates Jayden Chan, Heitor Tinoco, and Cobi Wu, who took first place with a time of 1:38.18. He also swam in the 400-yard freestyle relay with Tinoco, Lucas Paez, and Danilo Brito, where they secured the win in an impressive 3:18.43.

An eleventh grader of French descent, de Fabrique aspires to attend an NCAA Division I college where he hopes to be a member of its men's swim team and someday compete for France's national swim team.

In addition to being a star member of the MVA boys swim team, de Fabrique is an Eagle Ambassador and is a member of the school's Medicine Club, Jewish Student Union and the French National Honor Society.
