The Montverde Academy girls cross country team competed in the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) state championship placing 16th of 32 teams while two boys competed as individuals.

Lexi Fraser led the way for the Eagles placing 28th overall with a time of 19:46.5.

Alafair Scelfo placed second for MVA and 44th overall with a time of 20:12.

Lyla McMillen placed third and 115th overall with a time of 21:53.3.

Federica Perez placed fourth and 142nd overall with a time of 22:25.5.

Alon Scelfo rounded out the top 5 for MVA placing 176th overall with a time of 23:13.4.

Zara Liles-Henry placed 187th as a non scorer with a time of 23:30.5.

For the boys, Will Moss and Lucas Coan ran as individuals.

Moss was 29th of 235 in a time of 16:53.5 and Coan was 125th with a time of 18:13.2.
